Nim Hammond is an experienced therapist with a warm person-centered approach to therapy and intervention. She will help create a safe space for her clients to collaboratively explore personalised treatment, while working together to build confidence in managing their mental health challenges.
Her experience covers working with a wide range of presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress related disorders, mood-induced disturbances, domestic violence support and addictive behaviours. Nim uses evidence-based methods to successfully support her clients progress forward including the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and Acceptance and Behaviour Therapy (ACT).
Nim is compassionate and has a genuine interest in the wellbeing of others. Nim is committed to helping her clients develop skills and strategies, assisting them to discover their strengths while striving towards a fulfilling life.
Nim enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the movies, walking in nature. She also enjoys creative pursuits such as paper and print making, working with clay and journalling.
