Children’s and Teens’ Therapy Services operate across Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Moreton Bay, and Gympie providing individual and group therapy for children and young people with developmental delays, disabilities, health conditions, and behavioural, emotional and learning issues. We use a family-centred approach with a specialist focus on evidence-based intervention.

Our services are provided in our centres at Nambour, Kawana Waters, Maroochydore, Caboolture, Morayfield and Gympie. Our therapists provide services in-home, child care centres, kindergartens, schools, sporting events, community centres and via telehealth. We also conduct developmental screening at kindergarten and child care with parental approval.

Our evidence-based programs help children to achieve typical developmental milestones and develop social and communication skills that are necessary for everyday interactions at school and with friends. Our case management services include liaising with other service providers, ordering equipment, and providing family support, advocacy and counselling.

Our therapists use a range of age-appropriate, standardised assessments and develop individualised programs based on each child’s needs. Our therapists offer affordable, accessible, and culturally appropriate multidisciplinary services and programs.

Children’s and Teens’ Therapy Services are fully accredited and operate under a strong clinical governance framework.

Our services are funded under government service agreements, health and disability rebates (such as NDIS, Medicare, HCWA and Better Start), and private payments. We also see verified children at school under a service agreement with the Department of Education.

Families can self-refer or be referred by General Practitioners, Paediatricians, guidance officers, teachers, and health professionals.

We work in partnership with health, disability, education, government, and community organisations to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequities. Local partnerships help to overcome service access barriers and socioeconomic disadvantage, which can underpin a failure to access early intervention services.

Children’s and Teens’ Therapy Services has a Memorandum of Understanding with North Coast Aboriginal Corporation for Community Health (NCACCH) and accepts referrals for children and young people needing a range of health, including mental health, and disability services. A number of funding streams are accessed to support these families.
